MARCH 23, 2001 The Mohegan Tribe of Connecticut on Wednesday completed purchase of the Garbo Lobster Co. in Stonington, paying $1.7 million for the property. The purchase is part of the tribe's attempt at diversification of its holdings. The tribe has invested more than $10 million in a fish hatchery, a processing plant, and fish barns. The tribe plans on beginning work on these three projects next month. Get the Story:
