A New Mexico man convicted of murdering a Navajo mother cried in court on Tuesday, begging jurors not to sentence him to death.

Robert Ray Fry was convicted for killing Betty Lee in June 2000. He said his parents shouldn't have to see him die.

Fry has received 46 years in prison for kidnapping, attempted rape and evidence tampering. He faces additional sentencing and the death penalty for murdering Lee.
