Witnesses testify in Navajo murder trial

THURSDAY, APRIL 11, 2002 Testimony in the trial of a New Mexico man charged with murdering a Navajo mother continued on Wednesday. Witnesses for the prosecution cited the volatile nature of Robert Ray Fry the night he and co-defendant Leslie Engh allegedly kidnapped and stabbed Betty Lee to death. "Someone's going to die," one witness testified in court regarding Fry's behavior, The Farmington Daily-Times reported. Fry's mother testified for the prosecution. A local law enforcement employee on leave, she said she never thought her son was involved in the murder but later find out he lied. Get the Story:
