Three Connecticut towns haven't finished discussing the federal recognition bids of two Pequot tribes and will hold a press conference tomorrow to release more documents and information.

The tribes and state Attorney General Richard Blumenthal oppose the recognition of the Eastern Pequot Tribe and the Paucatuck Eastern Pequot Tribe. The tribes have been recognized by the state since the 1600s.

A final decision on the tribe's petitions, which received favorable review by the Clinton administration, is due this summer.
