Jim Shore, general counsel to the Seminole Tribe of Florida, remains in critical condition after being shot last week in his home.

Shore, who is blind, was targeted by his assailant, police believe. The crime occurred in an upscale neighborhood in Hollywood and not on the tribal land but the FBI are investigating.

The tribe has been under scrutiny recently for political and legal scandals. Shore was responsible for ousting longtime chairman Jim Billie.
