Jim Billie expects more lawsuits

TUESDAY, OCTOBER 23, 2001 A lawyer for ousted Florida Seminole Chief Jim Billie says more lawsuits are expected against the troubled leader. A federal judge has dismissed an ex-employees sexual harassment suit against Billie, citing sovereign immunity. Christine O'Donnell is planning to re-file in state court, said her lawyer. The tribe has sued Billie, alleging he misused millions of dollars of tribal funds. A lawyer for the tribe says he intends to resolve all legal issues affecting Billie. Get the Story:
