Diva #1 - Liz Homer, Vice Chair, National Indian Gaming Commission

This Diva is a member of the Osage Nation of Oklahoma which means she has definite opinions about oil production. But while she works for the Department of Interior, her forte is not energy policy but gaming.

In a recent diva action, Homer last month signed off on a document to reclassify games of chance as games of skill. Sounds like something rather technical and bland but the decision would conveniently allow tribes in her home state to operate Class III games without the governor's approval.

Even though this change is currently in the comment period, its been on the down-low. But In the Hoop is telling you about it first.

Diva Forecast: Rumor has it that this Diva has her sights set on the Chairman's position over at NIGC. Will she get it? Or will she choose door number 2? This Diva knows what she wants, so look for her to go the full montie this fall.
