State questioned on Whiteclay liquor

JANUARY 12, 2001 A group called Nebraskans for Peace has been on Thursday met with the Nebraska Liquor Control Commission in hopes of having the state address alcoholism and alleged violations of liquor laws in Whiteclay. Whiteclay is located near the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota. Tribal leaders have complained the town exploits reservation residents. Get the Story:
