TUESDAY, JUNE 18, 2002 The following documents of note were published in today's Federal Register. Repatriation Notice: Inventory Completion
The National Park Service announces the completion of an inventory of items at the American Museum of Natural History, New York, NY. The inventory includes 122 human remains and associated funerary objects taken from Alaska Native villages earlier this century. The NPS has determined the items can be traced to the Native Village of Barrow Inupiat Traditional Government and Ukpeagvik Inupiat Corporation. Relevant Documents:

The National Park Service announces the intent to repatriate a Navajo hide pouch in possession of the Springfield Science Museum, Springfield, MA. The item is considered sacred and was identified by Navajo Nation tribal members. The museum will return the pouch unless no others come forward by July 18. Relevant Documents:
