WEDNESDAY, MARCH 27, 2002 Thirteen Alaska tribes have joined with 22 First Nations in Canada to work together on a proposed natural gas pipeline. The tribes and bands want to be sure they are consulted no matter how development proceeds. Different routes are being considered, with one running through Alaska and Canada that would pass through Native lands. An overseas route is also being considered. Get the Story:
