Sen. Harry Reid (D-Nev.), a top ranking member of the Senate, is filing a legal brief in federal court to urge a federal judge to make public the records of Vice President Dick Cheney's energy task force.

Reid is siding with the General Accounting Office, which on Friday filed its lawsuit seeking Cheney's records. Cheney has handed over some documents but refused when asked to disclose details about meetings he and his staff held to formulate a national energy policy.
