MONDAY, JANUARY 28, 2002 The American Indian Center of Indianapolis, Indiana, is calling for a boycott of the Angel Mounds State Historic Site to protest the reassignment of the site's only Native American worker. Assistant curator Bill Spellazza has been transferred because another location needed more workers, according to the state Department of Natural Resources. Spellazza also happened to organize the Native American Days festival at the Angel Mounds site. The state says it will give Spellazza time in August to organize the September 28-30 celebration. Spellazza says by then it will be too late. The state says the show will go on without him. Get the Story:
