Another ANWR filibuster threatened

Sen. Ted Stevens (R-Alaska) is threatening a pro-drilling filibuster if energy legislation brought to the Senate does not open up the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge to oil and gas development.

Stevens' threat comes in response to one by Sen. John Kerry (D-Mass.), who said he'd filibuster to prevent drilling. Also, Energy and Natural Resources Chairman Sen. Jeff Bingaman (D-N.M.) is introducing an energy policy bill that does not allow drilling.
