Kickapoo Tribe part of water proposal

TUESDAY, JULY 31, 2001 The Kickapoo Tribe has joined up with towns and water districts on a major water project to bring water to communities throughout northeastern Kansas. The project could cost at least $200 million but estimates are shaky at this point. But since the tribe and other communities have experienced water shortages and drought conditions, the project is seen as necessary. Get the Story:
