JUNE 6, 2001

Democrat members of the House Government Reform Committee are asking the Republican chairman to hold hearings on Vice President Dick Cheney's secret energy task force meetings.

Cheney met with a number of representatives from the energy industry, some of whom contributed to the Republican party. But he wouldn't reveal the identities of people with whom the task force consulted.
