WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 24, 2001 A reported 100 people attended a public hearing on Monday night over a permit for a controversial kitty litter mine near Reno, Nevada. Most of those in attendance were opposed to the plan, reported The Associated Press. Residents of the Hungry Valley Indian Colony and the Sparks Indian Colony are opposing the mine. Get the Story:
