Navajo prep school director fired

WEDNESDAY, MAY 8, 2002 The school board of Navajo Preparatory in New Mexico fired executive director Karen Dixon-Blazer on Tuesday. Dixon-Blazer was fired for not following the board's direction, a member said. She was also faulted for not renewing a tribal contract in order to obtain federal funds. A search committee will be set up to find a replacement. Get the Story:
