WEDNESDAY, APRIL 17, 2002 The 27th annual Northwest Indian Youth Conference began in Billings, Montana, on Tuesday. About 1,300 Native students from the U.S., Canada and elsewhere are attending the week-long conference, which focuses on developing leadership and professional skills. Yesterday, the Grammy-nominated Black Lodge Singers performed. A pow-wow will be held on the Crow Reservation over the weekend. Get the Story:
