THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 13, 2001

A specially-trained search dog has located what are believed to be remains of Indian bones on the University of Nebraska-Lincoln's East Campus.

The school had used bones as part of its research in the late 1960s. Many of them were incinerated.

At this point, the school doesn't believe there are bones on the campus. Nevertheless, it has dedicated the site a Native memorial, which will be dedicated October 2.
