Haskell involvement wanted on highway committee

FRIDAY, AUGUST 31, 2001 Baker University President Dam Lambert on Thursday announced the creation of a committee to explore alternatives to controversial highway in Lawrence, Kansas. Lambert said the school prefers a route that doesn't disturb wetlands the university owns. But Haskell University has opposed that particular route because it would disturb sacred land and possible graves. Lambert said he wants the Haskell community involved with his committee.
