NOVEMBER 7, 2000 A plan to build a Wizard of Oz theme park in Kansas has been effectively tabled by county commissioners. Oz Entertainment Co. hopes to build an $860 million theme park called The Wonderful World of Oz. They need the approval of Johnson County, but its four commissioners were split on the plan.
