WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 3, 2001 John Herrington will be the first Native American to go to space this fall. After being in the Astronaut Corps for five years, Herrington will be on the space shuttle Endeavour this fall. He is a member of the Chickasaw Nation of Oklahoma. Get the Story:
