The Bush administration will be starting to clean up toxic mine waste in the Coeur d'Alene Basin in Idaho.

The Environmental Protection Agency chose a total of 10 sites for the Superfund program. Another 10 were passed over, the Associated Press reported.

The Coeur d'Alene Tribe has been pushing for cleanup of the basin. Waste from hundreds of mines has piled up north of the reservation and has polluted rivers that feed Coeur d'Alene Lake, whose southern third id owned by the tribe.
