Native corp moving into oil exploration role

MONDAY, JULY 14, 2003 Arctic Slope Regional Corp., an Alaska Native regional corporation, has entered into a "mentoring" deal with an oil and gas company. The agreement with BP Exploration Inc. could lead to the corporation developing its own assets rather that merely providing oil field services and managing its lands. BP will provide technical knowledge and data to identify potential areas for exploration. ASRC owns lands in Alaska's oil-rich North Slope. Get the Story:
