Okla. governor supports Tar Creek cleanup plan

WEDNESDAY, JULY 2, 2003 Oklahoma Governor Brad Henry (D) said he supports a $45 million plan to clean up the Tar Creek Superfund site but not a buyout for local residents. The site contains 70 millions tons of mine waste. Most of the land is owned by Quapaw tribal members. Get the Story:
