WEDNESDAY, JUNE 11, 2003 A reported 150 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, held a protest against Jim Pankiw, a lawmaker and candidate for mayor who is calling for an end to Indian rights. Pankiw wants the government to end what he calls "race-based privileges." He opposes affirmative action, treaty rights, Indian preference and the tax-free status of Aboriginals. Get the Story:
