Jodi Rave Lee: Man shares story of Sacagewea

MONDAY, JUNE 9, 2003 Sacagawea / Sacajawea / Sakakawea , the Indian women on the Lewis and Clark expedition, was not Shoshone, according to grandson Jerome Dancing Bull. Dancing Bill says Sacagewea's parents were members of the Hidatsa Tribe in North Dakota. An interpreter "got it wrong" when she was identified as a Lemhi woman captured from another tribe, he says.
