White Earth court considers tribal college dispute

WEDNESDAY, JUNE 4, 2003 A White Earth tribal judge heard oral arguments on Tuesday in a dispute between the White Earth Tribal and Community College and the tribal council. Tribal college Helen Klassen was fired by the tribal council for alleged lack of communication. But the college's board of trustees says it has the sole authority over who runs the school. Judge Anita Fineday is being asked by the trustees to rescind a temporary restraining order. The trustees would probably reinstate Klassen. Get the Story:
