Men pinpoint location of Sacajawea's capture

MONDAY, MAY 19, 2003 Two men in Montana say they have narrowed down the location where Sacajawea, the Shoshone woman who was a member of the Lewis and Clark expedition, was captured by a rival tribe. Using journal entries from the expedition and an old map, Dave Miller and Ed Fenlason say there are two possible sites. Both are along the Jefferson River in Three Forks. The entries examined come from Sacajawea's description of her capture by the Mandan and Arikara tribes. Get the Story:
