AFN hosts Native self-determination conference

THURSDAY, MAY 15, 2003 The Alaska Federation of Natives organized a two-day conference on Native self-determination in Washington, D.C. The conference, which concluded yesterday, included a number of workshops and seminars about self-determination for American Indians, Alaska Natives and Native Hawaiians. Health, education, welfare and economic development were discussed. Members of Congress and Bush administration officials spoke. Get the Story:
