N.M. police cross-deputized with Navajo Nation

TUESDAY, MAY 6, 2003 New Mexico state police officers are sharing law enforcement duties with the Navajo Nation. The five state officers have the same authority as tribal police over tribal members. The Shiprock Police Captain hopes to cross-deputize at least five more state police officers. Get the Story:
