Mohawks on Que. reserve vow to keep roadblock up

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 2, 2003 Members of the Kanesatake Mohawk First Nation in Quebec, Canada, continued their blockade of the only road leading to the reserve. The roadblock was erected Friday after some members of the council objected to a law enforcement agreement signed by a chief they consider illegitimate. The Canadian government plans to meet with tribal leaders to discuss the situation. Get the Story:
