Public referendum on Chieftains logo delayed

THURSDAY, MARCH 27, 2003 A public vote on reinstating the Chieftain logo at a school in Wisconsin will have to be delayed because the school board failed to follow the law. The Osseo-Fairchild School Board has to give at least 42 days notice before putting the issue to voters. Next week's scheduled election was too early, the state elections board said. The Indian head logo had been removed by the school board but voters recalled board members who supported removal. Get the Story:
