Drill team on Navajo Reservation takes top honors

THURSDAY, MARCH 20, 2003 A drill team from a high school on the Navajo Reservation took first place at the Southern New Mexico Military Drill Competition last week. The Shiprock High School's Marine Corps Junior ROTC defeated 17 teams from New Mexico and Texas. The team won eight trophies total, including first place for the Armed Drill Team, the female Color Guard and male-female Color Guard. Get the Story:
