Alleged Mohegan tribe sues for N.Y. land

TUESDAY, MARCH 18, 2003 A group called the Western Mohegan Tribe is suing the state of New York and several counties for alleged trespass and theft of land. The tribe, which is not federally or state recognized, has claimed land in several counties. The tribe's chief has a criminal past. Get the Story:
