Calif. tribe appeals campaign donation suit

THURSDAY, MARCH 6, 2003 The Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians voted to appeal a California judge's decision that subjects the tribe to the state's campaign finance law. The Fair Political Practices Commission, a state board, says the tribe is not complying with the law. The tribe says it voluntarily discloses contributions made to state politicians and campaigns.
