GOP in Wis. fails to override gaming veto

WEDNESDAY, MARCH 5, 2003 Republicans in the Wisconsin Senate failed to override Governor Jim Doyle's veto of their gaming oversight bill. The 20-11 vote was one short of the two-thirds majority needed. Republicans say Doyle, a Democrat, is negotiating new casino deals without their input. Get the Story:
