Oklahoma Governor Brad Henry (D) is threatening a lawsuit over the Tar Creek Superfund site.

Henry said he would give the federal government six months to take concrete action to clean up 74 million tons of mine waste at the site, which mostly affects land owned by members of the Quapaw Tribe. The waste contains high levels of lead, zinc and cadmium, which are dangerous to humans.
