Navajo man pleads guilty to host of charges

THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 20, 2003 A Navajo Nation man pleaded guilty to several charges stemming from a high-speed chase involving tribal and New Mexico state police. Milford Etsitty, 30, said he eluded capture because he possessed marijuana. He pleaded guilty to DWI, speeding, reckless driving, unlawful flight from pursuing police officers and possession of marijuana. The state of New Mexico is waiting to charge him with similar crimes.
