Nebraska's four federally recognized tribes have form the Coalition of Four Nations to push for expanded gaming.

Currently, only Class II gaming, or bingo-like, is allowed. The tribes and others want the door opened to slot machines and other Class III games.

The four tribes are the Omaha, Ponca, Santee and Winnebago. The Omaha and Winnebago tribes operate Class III casinos on trust land in Iowa. The Santee have a small casino that has been the subject of legal battles.
