La. tribe fined for filing late report

FRIDAY, DECEMBER 13, 2002 The Coushatta Tribe of Louisiana has been fined $11,240 by the state ethics board for filing a campaign finance report too late. The report disclosed that the tribe was behind a series of anti-gaming ads. The "Concerned Citizens Against Gaming Expansion" was a $156,000 effort against a riverboat casino.
