Oneida man facing second prosecution

WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 4, 2002 An Oneida Nation official is disputing a local city's attempt to prosecute him in city court. Clint Hill, a men's council member, is accused of harassing two tribal members. The incident occurred on tribal land and a tribal court acquitted him of charges. At issue is whether trying Hill in city court constitutes double jeopardy. If so, he cannot be tried again. There is also a jurisdictional question. Get the Story:
