Ore. gov-elect considering casino

WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 27, 2002 A casino proposal by the Confederated Warm Springs Tribes is in the hands of incoming Oregon governor Ted Kulongoski. The tribe wants to locate the casino in Cascade Locks. Because the site is off-reservation, Kulongoski would have to sign off on the development. If he turns it down, the tribe is considering locating the casino in Hood River where state approval is not needed. Get the Story:
