Boy who crashed car is tribal member

THURSDAY, DECEMBER 19, 2002 A seven-year-old boy is in protective custody in Minnesota after crashing a stolen car into a woman and her children on Tuesday. The boy is a member of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe. The tribe handled his custody arrangements and granted legal custody to his maternal grandmother, Isabelle Bird Horse. The incident was the boy's second theft of a car. On December 6, he stole a car in his Minneapolis neighborhood. No one was hurt. Get the Story:
