Alaska Native corp lays off employees

An Alaska Native regional corporation is trying to restrict spending, The Anchorage Daily News reports.

Cook Inlet Region Inc. laid off more than a dozen employees at the lower levels and has slashed salaries at the executive and director level. The goal is to cut overhead by 25 percent.
