Wash Post readers favored Norton ouster

The verdict is in. Washington Post readers wish Secretary of Interior Gale Norton would leave the Bush administration.

That's according to Al Kamen of "In The Loop," who reports that Norton was one of five Bush Cabinet members most favored to depart. But alas, Norton has not announced her resignation, nor is she "looking" for a federal judgeship, friends tell Bill McAllister of The Denver Post.

But a Norton ally told McAllister: "There are a lot of people who think she'd make a dandy Supreme Court justice."
