Jim Billie, the former chairman of the Seminole Tribe of Florida, agreed to be interviewed by federal prosecutors, his attorney told The Miami Herald.

Billie was the initial target of a probe into the tribe's business dealings, a federal agent added. The investigation included the Department of Interior, FBI and the Internal Revenue Service, the Herald reported.

Billie may or may not testify in the ongoing trial of three former associates accused of stealing $2.7 million from the tribe. An attorney for one of the men said he has not decided whether to call Billie.
