WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 11, 2002 Assistant Secretary Neal McCaleb has been asked to look into an Oklahoma tribe's proposal to open a bingo hall in New York. Rep. Sherwood L. Boehlert (R-N.Y.) wants to know if Seneca-Cayuga Tribe can use 229 acres of land it recently acquired for the facility. New York is the aboriginal homeland of tribal members but Boehlert in a letter questioned whether the parcel qualifies for gaming. Get the Story:
