Okla. tribe plans N.Y. bingo hall

TUESDAY, DECEMBER 10, 2002 The Seneca-Cayuga Tribe of Oklahoma is moving forward with plans for a Class II bingo hall in New York, The Syracuse Post-Standard reports. The tribe believes it can open the facility on 229 acres of land it recently acquired. A private developer paid $738,544 for the land and gave it to the tribe. Tribal members are descendants of the Seneca and Cayuga nations, whose aboriginal territory is in New York. Get the Story:
