Canadian Innu community readies for move

TUESDAY, DECEMBER 3, 2002 Beset with alcoholism, drug problems, sexual abuse, low-achieving youth and lack of basic infrastructure, the Innu First Nation at Davis Inlet, Labrador, is preparing to move to an entirely new location. The goverment-financed move comes at a cost of $100 million. Residents say it ill help the community shed its many problems. About 600 people will move starting December 14.
